One BIC, One Book, Two classics
We were invited by VML to transform the BIC's longevity into real proof: to completely rewrite William Shakespeare's classic Romeo and Juliet with just a single pen.
The project combined technology and craftsmanship. Based on the analysis of the author's handwriting, we developed a system that combined artificial intelligence and robotics to recreate the manuscript in the original style. The process took 20 days, resulted in 212 pages and covered the equivalent of 3 kilometers of traces, all with just a pen.
The final manuscript was exhibited at the Royal Portuguese Reading Office in Rio de Janeiro, connecting the legacy of writing to cultural tradition. The action gained national and international repercussions and was recognized in Cannes Lions 2025, with Silver and Bronze awards in Design, Print & Publishing and Industry Craft.
